Where and how to change center console lights?

hey guys some of my dash lights on my vx have gone out and so have the ones on the shifter and all of the ones that illuminate my aircon switches. Just wondering where can i get globes and how can i change them? thanx in advance.

p.s checked the fuses and there all fine so its definately the globes.

Did they go out one by one or all at once?

If they went out all at once it could be a wiring problem, might be worth checking the circuit with a multimeter.

In my work car there was a problem with the aircon switch being faulty which prevented the backlight globes working, it could be a similar problem in yours.

Nah just gradually over time they went one by one.

i did this on saturday, i had afew blown globes in my climate control... you have to follow the steps to remove the fascia ( i think i found them in a thread about changing the back light to blue)

i took the globe out n went to repco n super cheap but no one stocked them n holden spares was closed, so i went to jaycar n got some exactly the same n threaded it into the old plastic thing that it screws into.

as for the shifter im not to sure how to get that one off but i have heard its tricky to get to.

ok thanks the fascia is easy to remove ive done it before ill give it a go this w.e and let you guys know if i come across any obstacles.

I think for the air con switches you just need to unscrew the whole unit, as he says theres about 5 screws.

For the gear selector globe, it's a little harder but if you follow the instructions in julies thread you will get to it, it's pretty easy once you figure it out, and you will realise how easy the interior is to pull apart.
