Default Vt screwing up since putting on extractors

I put a new set of Pacemaker extractors and a high flow cat yesterday and my car has been running really dodgy ever since. It seems to be choking on fuel and cuts out for a second as I accelerate. I thought I fixed it today when i took it back and they put on new ignition leads. But it is still ****ing up. Shouldn't my car be running better not worse?

Did you put your O2 sensors back in properly? Are they pluged back up? Are your spark plugs screwed in tight enough? Are all the bolts on the extractors done up tight? Did you use a silicone type material for your gaskets before putting on the extractors to make sure the seal is tight? (ie: gasket goop, grease, etc)

My bet at the moment would be to look into your O2 sensors. just make sure they are put in properly and are plugged in properly aswell.

hey mate just had the same problem as you on saturday. Turns out when you take off the old headers it upsets the old engine parts a little bit and can crack the spark plug(s). Sounds like the exact same problem as mine so pretty confident just get some new plugs and all should be running swell. Got standard plugs for $5 each at repco. Hope that fixes it.

I got it fixed. Turns out that the exhaust centre that put it in stuffed a few things whilst putting it in. I took it to a mechanic and got a diagnostic done and it came up the following
    Code:001
Low speed fan, No BMC Response
    Code:002
    Theft Deterrent Signal Missing
    Code:003
    Throttle Position Sensor Stuck

    Read History DTC
    No Trouble Code Information Stored!

    O2 Sensor
    RICH
    LEAN

    Power Balance
Average RPM During The Injector Cutoff

    Injector 1 1007RPM
    Injector 2 898RPM
    Injector 3 899RPM
    Injector 4 898RPM
    Injector 5 894RPM
    Injector 6 891RPM

When they did the extractors they also did the headlights and had to remove the battery to do it. And they think that might have done something to the computer.

Yeah they paid for it. I had to take it to a mechanics to get the computer test done. The mechanic refused to make me pay for it and he billed them. Cause that mechanic had serviced my car only last week.

Sounds like you should go back to that mechanic more often.

Hard to find good ones these days.

Then get friendly with the aircraft maintenance staff. If they can fix a 10 million parts aircraft I'm sure they can fix a car, LOL .
