    Default Manual VT v6 commodores

    G'day,

I have a 98 VT commodore and it is manual. I have been told by many that it's very rare to have a manual VT commodore. Does anyone have any facts about that? as in how many manuals they made etc and what not?

I love it being a manual though, it's so nice to drive. And it's funny because a lot of young lads come up and comment about it to me lol.

    Thanks heaps guys,
    Joe

Manual execs are very rare, S and SS models being sportier are more common, but I would still bank on the majority being auto.

Whoever said 95%, I want what you're smoking

billet short shifters reduce your throws by around 50% (cant remember full stats), it pretty much makes your neutral, you 2nd, 4th and reverse, there awsoem fun and they take out alot of the slack and slopyness in the getrag tans!, making your gear engagement alot more define, feels like driving a whole new car, and on the sedans, the top of your gear nob will drop by 40mm, feels awseom when driving it.
there from memory $450 from billet, worth there weight in gold, i love mine, never going back, and alos easy to install your self

The "Getrag Trans" is the 5 speed manual gearbox found in your VT.

Getrag is the German manufacturer that made your gearbox.

    ahhh cool
BTW, i recently had to put a new gearknob on my gear stick...and ever since i have done that, my gear still feels a bit loose....I'm not sure how i could of done that...but yeah, sometimes (very rarely) it's hard to find the gear...it happens like once every 2 weeks or whatever but it kinda scares me... lol.

    any ideas?
Was gonna get my mate who's a mechanic to look at for me when he services my car.

    Cheers
