    Default fanbelt melted?

    hey got into the vt today drove it around for about 30 mins and could smell smoke
    had a look under the bonnet and noticed what looked like my fan belt melting under a pulley.. any ideas what is doing it and why?

    lol, man it must have been on there a looong time to get to such bad condtion that it would fail like that.
    Either that or your aircon pulley seized and some how caught it and it frayed.
    Either way just buy a newone, easy as to refit.

    WTF??? How the hell did you do that?? Does the pulley spin properly?

    dunno should be because it was a mechanic that did it all
    he gets it back tomorrow.
