oil light coming on?

hey, when im driving sometimes i notice the oil light will flash on the warning sound will sound then it goes off before its stopped playing the sound, it comes on every now and again, not every time i go for a drive, sometimes it will come on 2 times a trip.

the oil levels are right in the car, and when i first start the car the light goes off. im thinking it might be a faulty sensor, anyone else had similar problems?

Oil temp sensor might be on its way out......try replacing that and see what happens

could be your oil pressure sender unit playing up, how long since you dumped the oil in the car?

would probably be a good idea to dump the oil new filter another pressure sensor and see how that goes if it continues you could have a prob with your oil pump pickup

its just come due for a change within the last week. so ill have to go down and get some oil and a filter when i get paid. cheers heaps for the replys

Anyone know where the oil presure sensor wire leads too on a vt, mine has disapeared
