Airbag Light

My VT is possessed. I have had an issue with the airbag light coming off and on for a while. When I accelerate it goes on and when I brake it goes off. Today I made another discovery, if it is on while I am accelerating and I turn my headlights off (I usually run with the parkers on) it instantly goes off. I repeated this occurrence 3-4 times on the way home today.

Does anyone have any ideas?

This is a long shot...

you are moving around in in your seat. I had my light fixed, and I use the term loosely, at holden during a service. I was told that the fault was in the seat belt tensioner. When the mechanic reset the thing he had the seat all the way forward. He must have been one short mechanic. As soon as I put the seat back the airbag warning light came on. I am so used to the stupid thing now I just don't care. I would know my car is running, unless I hear the chimes every morning.

So my theory is that when you are switching things on off it is just shorting out the switch in the seatbelt tensioner. One thing that bugs me is that once it trips it should stay on. It should not be able to go off again. IE it is meant to say there is a problem with your airbag go and get it looked at. Does the dash warning chime go off every time the light comes on?

MY airbag ligth is on since i bougth the car 4 years ago,i still dont know were the problem is but didnt notice changes to the car while driving
