    Default VT single/dual stage locking

    Hi There,

I have just picked up a '98 VT Acclaim, Have no owners manual for it so thought someone here might know.

At the moment the central locking is set to TWO stage, that is when you press the button on the remote the first time it unlocks only the drivers door, Then press it again to unlock the passengers doors.

Is there any way to change it to single stage unlocking ? That is one press opens all doors ?

    Cheers!

I believe it can be changed with a tech 2 at holden. If you press it once and hold for 2 seconds it will then unlock all doors (a bit friendlier on the buttons)

just holding it that extra second is easy enough, but yeah as said above a tech 2 could do it. Personally i like having it, after having encounters with random drunks getting in my car i like that fact i can have my door unlocked and everything else locked, because sometimes you dont notice them, so you see them struggle with the passenger door and can quickly lock your drivers door. luckily i've only had to do this twice, i hate bell street maccas lol
