I just bought a 2000 VX Exec Sedan and I want to modify it to look good.
It got low 20T Kms on it, so it will be with me for a long time.
My idea for the exec is to keep it nice, neat and sporty and keeping it road friendly (as legal as possible) while keeping it on a budget.
Im willing to spend 2500on it so 2nd hand and wreckers are on my phonebook.
Here are the list of my plans.
1. 17s rims with 235/45R17 tyres (2nd hand only repairable rims, non-chrome or not polished)
2. lowered (done thru holden) - front drop 1/2 lower than back.
3. paint (lip, skirts, trims, side mirrors) - Im not a good painter, Im planning to get it done by a crash repair shop
Project 2nd phase
1. tint - Im looking for a bronze/brownish shade of tint.. Is it legal in SA?
2. fog lamps
Accessories:
1. Beige seat cover
2. Beige floor mats
3. Sun-up (rear sun shade cover)
4. Opel Badges Silver..
Please reply with your comments or suggestions.
I'm from Adelaide SA and I'd appreciate if you could give me referals to where I could have this modifications done or where I could purchase accessories at low price. I know justcommodorespares to be a good place to start. Thanks for looking.
Hi carbs11, Just going through the same stage as you at the moment lol brought my vx exec 2000 about 6 months back low k's and ive been slowly upgrading ever since. Ive spent about 1500 doing it up and ive 1. replaced the interior with SS black interior (front/back seats and door trim) from local wreckers ($300), 2. Added some 17" rims to it didnt wanna spend too much i got VY SS rims really good condition with new tyres for $600 which really made it look better and now im currently upgrading the audio which has cost me about $600 which includes 7 inch DVD player($299), Earthquake Splits($199) and Earthquake coaxils($100). Im currently looking at how much to get the black door side moulds removed or painted. Not worrying about lowering at the moment as i thought it looked pretty good already. Any questions or pics dont hesitate to ask
