WH Statesman Issues

Hi All,
Im looking at buying a wh statesman 5.7 V8
It has only done 42 000Kms ( very low ) And I know they guy who owned it was an Old man who has since passed away . He didnt drive the car that much.
It was serviced by the book and I mean by the book, but he has been dead for 2 years and it hasnt been serviced since he passed .
Q's
What would it be worth ? they son just wants to get rid of it and is thinking 7-8K ( i think thats good )
Fuel economy , what are the rough figures to expect for city driving and country cruising .
Someone mentioned that these motors suffered from piston slap ? how can I check

Check if the engine number matches the book, if its been replaced under warranty it shouldn't match,

Hell mine was done under warranty and doesn't even match the rego sticker :P
