Hello all,
I have a 2001 VX S, ive been playing around with the dash settings, [mode + Arrow down] start the car, go thru until i get temp thingo, now from cold start it heats up too 107 is this normal? I turn on my AC too start the thermo fan and the right one kicks in [right side one if im sitting in the drivers seat] too bring down the temp, then it goes down around 90/95 what fan thermo fan is meant too kick in? ive never seen the left one come on?

btw what is a safe temp? can i let it go past 107 too see if the left thermo kicks in?

Im not that car savvy, but shouldnt the radiator let the water thru after a certain temp?

I just did a test using the dash settings & from a cold start, I had the bonnet up the temp got up to around 98 / 100 i was standing outisde the drivers door i heard a click from the engine bay and the temp dropped straight down from around 98 /100 too around 87 then it just hovered around 90 / 95... I guess this is normal?

my car sits at around 93-95 on a mild day, in summer its not unusual to see 110+ , iirc the first fan kicks in around 95, and 2nd at 110 or so. the standard thermostat opens around 95 or so. thats from what i remember when i first got my car back years ago
