    Default Power socket not working

Could someone help please! The power socket in our Calais isn't working. Have just bought a Navman and have tried it in anohter car and is working. Does the power socket have a fuse and where would it be. Have checked the fuse box in the engine compartment, but not there and the fuse box under the steering column doesn't have a cover on it to indicate the fuses. Thanks

No, our model doesn't have a ciggy lighter or ashtray. The power socket is just above the transmission shift lever in the middle console. Thanks

The fuse is under the steering wheel, the panel just pulls down.

If that doesn't fix it someone has probably messed up the nut on the back, Gotta take the console apart and screw it back on.

after useing a tom tom i was in the same boat, well sort of.
plugging to gps into the power socket cotinously, the socket worked loose and shorted out.
now the gps is hard wired useing a vacant fuse holder under dash.

NB: i still havent pulled the console out and tightend the socket up.
