Hey guys ive got a rebuilt 4.2 l36 @ 8.5.1 compression ration and was wondering if i wack on the L67 heads and charger will it all work with a 5spd loom and plugs? i dont need to worry about the ecu as i have a Current wired up Aftermarket system.
the bottom end will be your main concern it wont hold up to the boost like the l67 bottom end
I'm guessing the OP has a stroker kit judging how he has a 4.2L engine. If they are good forged parts then yes it will hold together nicely. But you will need a L67 loom. I'm guessing you have already upgraded the fuel system, because L67 use bigger injectors, but if they come with the heads then thats not a issue. I'm sure theres other stuff you need, but it shouldn't be hard.

whats different between the looms?
not a lot l67 runs slow and fast fuel pump adds 2 extra wires not nessacary though runs fine on the stick ecotec pump wiring anyway.and theres a boost control solinoid which isnt that nessecary either but would be easy enough to add
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable
Sounds like an easy choice to me. L67 all the way!

You don't need an L67 loom afaik. You can run a single speed fuel pump and the only other engine bay loom difference I can think of would be for the boost bypass solenoid on rear of the passenger side head.
My opinion, go turbo into your ecotec plenum. It will cost about the same as an M90/ L67 top swap but the heads are physically the same between ecotec and L67, the only difference been the injector port locations.
If you have a N/A cam it will be more suited to turbo anyway and you can get more lift on the intake by increasing the rocker ratio to help the turbo a little.

upgraded fuel system already so thats not a problem.
