should be on the front of the engine below the coil pack. you will need to remove the cai to get a good look and a torch

open the bonnet and take off the cai right in front of you. after this is taken off just look right in front of you with a torch and should be roughly parallel with the cai bottom that u took out. very hard to see all the numbers, might need a screw driver or cloth to wipe the numbers to see better. hope this helps

How is it not like your engine? The engine number will still be in the same place.

When clean of grime/oil use a bit a white chalk to make the number stand out.

Probably the coils and DFI unit may need to go. Have a bit of chalk ready too just in case you find it and want to read the numbers.

A mechanic may be able to get the engine number while on a hoist. Or put the car on stands and get a good spot light and chalk. Digital camera may be a good help too.

I'm assuming they make it hard to get to so it is even harder to tamper with?
