Maybe all the usuals: High ratio roller rockers, CAI, Sports exhaust with extractors, High ratio diff, tried them yet?

Is it a Holden 5ltr, or a Chev LS1 engine you are running?..

For a 5ltr I would recommend the following.

    - Aunger CAI
    - K&N Panel Filter
    - MACE Throtle Body
    - Performance Headers (i.e XForce)
    - XForce Racing Cats
    - XForce exhaust (Cats back).

A good tune, some good leads and plugs will go that extra little bit before you get in to seriously expencive engine work.

If it's putting out 170 at the wheels it must allready have a fair bit of bolt on work, you wont get much more out of it (if it's a 5 litre)

That depends of course on whether or not thats a "real" 170rwkw tested on a Dyno, or Holden's claimed figure for that engine (which was actually 180rwkw if my memory serves me correctly).

There is an artical somewhere website where someone got a VT 5ltr to around 190rwkw with just bolt ons and a tune. I cant remember where I saw it though.

since when do manufacturers give out their engines power outputs in rwkw? also, theres no chev ls1, but thats another argument altogether

Right you are, after double checking it's 180kw(ish) @ the crank / flywheel.

and you got me on the Chev bit too... *Admits defeat*
