Hey guys
My name is Dan, im 20yrs old, and ive just bought my first commodore, its a blue series 1 VT bone stock with 214000 clicks on the clock, this is my first post on here,
im a huge car enthusiast and atm, other than the VT, i own a 1984 toyota sprinter with extensive mods on it, the commodore will be the daily driver for the next year or so, and the sprint is being taken off the road and going to live with my uncle where i will make her a beast over a semi-lengthy period of time
i dont have may plans for the vt as it does not take much for them to look really nice, but here they are:
vt bootlid spoiler
slam it, but not stiff sussy as the sprints sussy is damn tight
nice wheels, probly vy sigs or some sort of VE wheels
simple/effective sound system
exhaust, not too loud as my sprinter exhaust is deafening
couple of other bits and pieces
The question i wanna ask is related to the boot spoiler
i just wanna point out before i continue that i have 0 experience with commodores but i have a bit of mechanical knowledge so anything u guys tell me i should be able to work it out
ok, the car doesnt have a spoiler at the moment and im looking into to chucking one on as early as next week, just one of the simple ones with the brake light in the middle
are the boot lids with and without spoilers the same? e.g. to install the spoiler do i just drill holes in the same spots as the boot it came off plus an extra hole for the wiring?
once thats done how do i wire it up?
i can do some mechanics but wiring is damn hard
anyway, thanks guys, any help u can give me will be awesome
ill be sticking around here for a while yet![]()
Hi Dan, Welcome to the forum.
Sorry I can't offer you any help with the spoiler question as I have never fitted one myself and electrical wiring annoys the crap out of me![]()
There is a matching loom connector for your spoiler already wired up inside the boot lid. All commodores have this from factory. Look around and you will see it clipped inside the boot lid behind the garnish, closer to the drivers side of the car.
oh, sweet as, thanks a lot mate
there is so much info on this site, im hoping to be able to attempt a power window install at some point in the future
