vt level 3 cluster change problem vt s pak

hi all has anyone had a problem with changing there level 1 to a level 3, i am experiencing a prob with my vt s pak 1997, i changed over and now the airbag light is coming on and also the trac off isnt working, but low trac light is ok when when ignition is turned on but no trac off light, also no trac off when i push switch on and off, can anyone help..........

hi all again , my trac control is still working just dont have the light working on the dash for when you turn off and on, but low trac light works ok , i have changed globes etc, but still have airbag light probs

anyone with a tech 2 or similar can do it

ok with the airbag what about the trac light which isnt working????

I just bought myself a LVL3 Cluster from a VT Berlina. There was no globes in the Traction holes, since the berlina didnt have it. Did you check to make sure you even have globes in there?

yes i put globes in the holes a couple of times, when you put ignition on low track light comes on but not the trac off, tried pushing trac button still no go, took car for drive trac is still working on and off but no light on dash, low trac light comes on when you lose trac, just no trac light so i dont know when its on or off???

Its got nothing to do with swapping clusters,when ever you have to play around with electrical cables,connectors etc.you must disconnect battery.Now take a trip to dealer for resetting.

the globe might just not be connecting properly still, i was convinced my stock green globes for the lcd screen were dead, i bought new white ones off ebay and the middle globe still didnt work, i took the globe out, cleaned the area (even though i couldnt see any dirt there or anything), put it back in and it worked, and still works, give that a try its probably all it is.

Hey guys the dashes can be used in any vt -vx they just need to be set up to your car specs. I did the level 3 dash change and when i done this the airbag light come on and wouldnt go of even after a mate with a tech 2 tried to reset it but i have since found out its not t he dash itself it is the settings in t he dash which dr bob on here can do. Also the best way to tell is the sticker on the top of dash if the numbers on top mach you should be right as i 1st one i put in di dthe airbag light and the dash was out by +15 klms so i hunted another one down with the same numbers on top and it seems to be fine now so my guess is try and get one with the sam enumbers on top of dash and you will have a perfect swap, also i have found that the berlina are a good match with exec's and spacs and the calais and statesman are different so keep that in mind when buying a dash ask for the numbers on top of dash and if they are the same you should be right .

Hi all, am a noob to this so will c what happens. I have a VT wagon that I would like to replace the single window dash with a triple window dash. Everything seems to work fine, except the LPG light does not come on with it. It still changes from petrol to LPG, but I have no idea what fuel I am on. Is this an easy "take it to holden" fix or something more sinister?

could just be the globe, try replacing that first

globe works, checked all that out before going to the trouble of swapping clusters.

Any auto store has the globes they r T5 wedge type globes. u can even find them in stores such as jaycar ect... 2.

Are the globes for the heater controls the same type ?

Which heater control unit do u have?? they r usually T4 and T5 size that r wired in the globe holders themselves (not wedge type) but theres 3 different types of standard heater units (stupid i know lol) and then u got climate thats different again lol.

i want to put a level3 hsv1 dash into my s/charged V6 VT.. anyone have any hints tips, do's or donts they can tell me? will this work? im used to old school, this whole new school cpu thing has got me dizzy, and im not one to pay someone else to work on my cars. any info greatly appreciated. cheers
