Diff swap anyone done one? and no this isn't about ratios!

I'm about to swap my 3.07 diff in my VX SS with a 3.46 i've got the whole diff everything ready to bolt up. Has anyone done this? Do i have to remove the whole diff cradle or can i just undo the rear diff mount and let the cradle drop till i can get access to the mount bolts? Cheers. I'm a mechanic by trade so i've got the tools just not the know how on this. I work on trucks so a little different.

you just drop the diff out not the craddle

Thanks, but you obviously can't get any tools in the space to access the 4 diff bolts holding it to the carrier. Does the carrier mounts flex enough to allow access to the bolts? Cheers

Yeh undo ur shocks. then undo the 4 bolts ( bracket that holds the diff there and it should drop pretty much ? then undo ur cv joints or just do them 1st shouldnt matter. but yeh it iant hard.
