    Default VT Smash Repair....

Hey guys, i got into a bit of a bingle yesterday.
Some guy ran into the rear of my VT which caused a 4 car pile up, luckily no one was hurt.
Anyhow, the driver who hit my car was in error, and im going to get a few quotes for the damage, though i was wondering if anyone might know the extent of the damage might be?
    Ive posted some pics.

Besides from all the damage, the engine and under the hood seems ok (even though it sounds and feels terrible now), though the suspension feels blown, the bonnet wont stay up and my drivers seat now wobbles a bit.
I drove it home from the accident though the wheels felt a bit dodgy.
Ive only had this car for a few months so this sucks...

Oh yeah, theres a bit of a dint aswell on the left qtr panel though i forgot to take a photo.

Any help would be awesome thanks.

    Peace.

I would guesstimate 7 grand, from similair damage to mine. i went to an absolutley top notch panel place though.

Be careful, i have heard that because you hit the guy in front of you, you may be considered as following too close, unless you were at total rest before the impact.

Yes, i was totally stationary when i was hit, thankfully.

7 grand, maybe it will be a write off?...

    Thanks for the info!

EDIT: i think it will be 70% at least.. oh well it was a nice car while it lasted....

if its just panel damage it'll cost a few K, if there is any structural damage.. The insurance company will write it off..

If you were stationery check the brakes, bearings etc. they wouldn't of liked the impact..

My wheel bearing went after getting rear ended (was already going though, the impact pushed it over the edge).

when you get it assesed they will tell you if its a write off or not or if ur willing to git it repaired or cash settlement cause these days vts go pretty cheap and i dont think insurance companies want to spend more money to fix then what its worth, if it was me i would ask for a cash settlement cause that repair will never be how the car was originaly and u could always find another one for quiet cheap that has never had a hit just my opinion thats all.
