Default Removing the volume controls off the steering wheel? (pic included)

Hey guys. My first post on here....
Anyway, I installed a headunit into my vx and as such ripped off the volume controls on the steering wheel (didnt wanna pay for the connection thing u can buy).

Theres a pic so you know what I mean (its the same on the other side also).

Any reccommendations to getting rid of it would be great
    Thanks

Hey mate just looked on ebay at the "swi jacks", im wondering if theres a simliar thing to use for sony stereos?

Otherwise i might just the same route as the OP and take the controls right off. Dont want to spend an insane amount of money but if its something reasonable i wouldnt mind.

Just remove the airbag and you will end up with something like in the pic below then unscrew them and looks neater. Just remember to disconnect the battery first for 1 min

    Steps:

    1. Disconnect battery

    2. Remove airbag fuse

    3. Disconnect airbag wiring harness from under dashboard (optional)

    4. Remove the 4 torx screws from the back of the wheel to release the airbag and remove it slowly.

    5. Keep the airbag facing away from you and slide you flathead screwdriver under the yellow airbag connector and pop it out.

    6. Remove the airbag and place it in the open, out of sunlight, face up and away from static sources.
