do you really need the fuel line removal tools to change the clips for the line that runs from you fuel pump to the filter?

when i first got my car, i didnt want to break the clip so i tried delicately to unclip them, succeeded a couple times(diffrerent types of plyers), other times id be under the car cursing and swearing coz it wouldnt come undone. i just push them toward the filter, press the tabs, and pull away hard. you can allways buy new clips at repco/bursons if they ever break. dont be scared to get fuel over u
