Greetings!
Our 2000 Commodore wagon smells terribly of cat pee! I'm almost certain a cat hasn't got inside to do its business. Is the air inlet for the heater up by the windscreen wipers? If so, I suspect the cat is leaving its mark on the windscreen and urine is trickling down into that area, where the vents are. I'm just not sure of the location of the inlet, or the best way to clean it if this is the case.
Many thanks!

bit of coolant on the ground will fix the cat up. (na dont do that it will kill the cat)
u can get a deodoriser to put through the system will help get rid of the odor and wash all external parts of the car as other cats will piss on it now aswell .
put somthing citrus like ontop they will smell it and piss off literally lol

Thanks for the quick replies. I've been Googling around and a couple of people have mentioned that leaking coolant can smell like cat pee. Anyone experienced this?

and this is why I am not a cat person.
As people have said, you can put a deoderiser through the system which should help but probably won't disappear all together. I had a cat do it's thing on my car and it took like a week before the smell was completely gone.
I dont think , its cat pee you are smelling. More like coolant, by the sounds of things your heater core is starting to leak. Best thing to do, is get those holden crush tablets and put it in with your coolant
NEVER LATE IN A 355ci
it's not so much the cats fault as the owners. if they were a responsible pet owner and got the cat neutered in the first place it wouldn't be spraying everywhere. but most people aren't.
it's going to take a long time for that smell to go away, unless perhaps you have a leaking heater core and it's actually coolant and not cat piss (coolant can smell pretty bad as well). open up your coolant reservoir and take a good sniff. see if that's what your car smells like. also check the passenger side carpet for any wetness/mould.
EDIT: BT1-355 got there first![]()
My sisters cat used to spray the front windscreen of cars and it would get into the air vents, so it could be cat piss you are smelling for sure
