clutch is gone, how much if i take to a mechanic?

pretty sure the clutch in my 5speed manual 1997 vt commodore is gone completely, i am not mechanicaly minded so i want to take it to a mechanic how much will i have to pay if i give the car to them and say put a new clutch in.. i can only find the price of clutch kits but that would mean ide have to replace it myself wouldnt it?

my subaru clutch cost $700 and they hard too do compaired to a commy

i would be looking for $500-$600

btw this would only cost me like $200

If you still have the dual-mass setup your looking around the 1-2k mark depending on where you go but I would suggest you shop around or even better now is a good time to get rid of the dual mass and go solid.
