New HDU install

Hi

Just regiestered to this site so yes excuse my noobness

I have just bought a VX series 1 Calais and today decided to install a new HDU. Yes instead of seeing Holden win at Bathurst I decided to put in a new stereo. I put in a Pioneer AVH-P4150DVD, manageg to get JB down tor $1099 with 5 yrs warranty so happy with that and so far very very happy with the unit.

I have 2 questions , can someone tell me the best steering remote addon for this system I have looked at CAT and PAC but wondering what is the best for this car and HDU with the prefernece of direct connectionion instead of IR.

Also have looked throught the forums on how to cradle/attatche a double din unit to a VX and it seems the only method is to pull out the entire console and attache srews from the side of the existng cage, just wanted to check if anyone else had an easier method before I started pulling the middle console out.

Thanks in adavnce and also wanted to shout out to all the folks who added the VT/VX wiring diagrams to this site which was a bloody time saver.
