how long did you keep ur car stock for??

as the title states, easy question...

when you bought your commodore how long did you wait/how long before you started modifying the car?

ive just bought my first commodore and after driving a manual, very low, super loud, stiff as toyota ae86 i find myself enjoying the soft, auto ride of a stock vt commodore, i do have plans for it, but everytime i think of lowering it, rims, sound system, i also find myself thinking 'i like it being standard at the moment', bear in mind ive only had it 3 days haha

anyway, i just wanna see what other people have done and so on

Literally as soon as i bought it of my mechanic i got him to put my 18" on it before i took and register the car. (my wagon i'm talking about)

My first one I bought a week before my 18th. As soon as I got into the driveway I pulled off the towbar and rear window louvres, then a week later it had a cd player in it. Things got a bit crazy from there...

This current one lasted about 5mins until the stereo went in, then a couple weeks before wheels/exhaust and the rest was gradual

less then a day... sprayed the door strips silver to match the car, sprayed the boot garnish to match the car, sprayed the grill, then put in monaro tail lights...

HaHa, before I took possession..., I knew what the interior color was, and which worn trim need replacing, had them waiting to remove those offending items...

Then I started obsessing...
It just gets worse from there...

Mine remained bog stock for a while actually - besides head unit... Maybe 8-10 months? But that wasn't a choice, that was cash related.

My old VX was stock for 2 weeks... I was sourcing parts , then it went a bit mental , 13G and 12 months later... if was finished... 3 month after that it was sold.

My bimmer, within an hour of getting it home there was a new steering wheel in it... lol
