Default VX Berlina stereo and speaker info

I was wondering if someone can help me out with what size speakers fit in the front and rear doors and the parcel shelf of the VX Berlina as I'm going to up grade very very soon and so I can buy the right ones with out pulling the doors part first but I want them to sit under the factory grills to keep it looking neat as I already have the head unit coming so now I just need to decide what speakers and amps I'm going to get as I'm looking at full Alpine at the moment as I have the Alpine head unit but not to sure about the rest.

Front and rear doors are 6 inch. With the front I have fitted 6.5 inch speaker with a bit of a modification to the plastic spacer that the speaker sits on.

I'm pretty sure the rear parcel shelf takes 6x9's or 8 inch as seen on the Calais with the bracket.

Yes, 6.5"s will fit into the rear doors. Are you planning on buying a subwoofer?
If not then maybe 6x9s in the rear parcel shelf is an option to get abit more bass.

I put a pair of 6x9s in the rear parcel shelf on the weekend in my VX. Was pretty straight forward , You have to pull the rear seats out and undo the centre seatbelt to get the parcel shelf off. If you need to buy the speaker grilles for the rear shelf autobarn sell them for $23.99 . Make sure you put some foam or underlay on the shelf of you will get heaps of vibration ,especially from the wires for the window mounted brake light . Also there is a piece of fibreboard under there that is held on with a small piece of tape and it flaps around

I'm looking at 6.5" splits in the doors (front and rear) and one sub in the boot as that'll be more than what I need to keep me happy as I just want some quality products this time rather than the crap I've run in the past thats why I'm looking at the Alpine X series speakers at the moment.

Cool, have you listened to the Type Xs? They arent for everyone although i find them to be nice and accurate, when installed and set-up properly they sound awesome....but plenty of people with disagree and say "brand x" is better.....sound is such a personal thing that people need to remember.

I have had the S type before and and loved them and I have heard the R type before and liked them to so I thought the X type could only be better
