Hey,
new to these forums but have read many articles on here over the past couple of years.
now i have an unanswered question.
my left front door doesnt quite fit right. when closed it latches but not fully and you can hear it bounce as i hit bumps which sounds really cheap and annoying so i wanna fix it.
it seems to have sagged as the paint at the bottom where the door meets the little bit you step over when getting into your car has worn away.
there doesnt seem to be any adjustments so i figured i would have to bend the hinges just a little, but sadly i cant get the door off to do so.
so a) are there any adjustments to fix said problem?
or
b) how do i get the door off?
cheers for your help
You need to adjust the top door hinge . For this you need a big hammer and a cold chisel. Open your door and put the chisel in the centre of the door hinge and give it a few hard belts then check the door for alignment .Keep doing this till the door is aligned. Don't over do it as it is much harder to knock the hinge the other way if you go too far . Before you start any adjusting open the door and grab the bottom corner and try lifting it to see if there is any free play which could mean the hinge pin is broken or the weld on the hinge has snapped.

ah too easy cheers for your advice.
will work on it today.
Your striker sounds worn. (the latch on the handle side of the body)
It may have also moved down.
They come with a plastic coating around it and the plastic has come off (this will explain the door movment)
