Hi

Just done 153k in 1997 Series 1 Berlina. Have replaced the compressor but there is a problem with some sort of intermittent vacuum causing the vents to redirect air through the floor vents instead of through the passenger vents.

Put up with it last year - but seems to be getting worse. Today was flicking between floor and passenger vents every couple of minutes. Hubby thinks it is a BIG job to pull out the dash and have switches etc tested. I am not sure and am just wondering if anyone else has had similar experience or would know how much labour it would take to just pull out the dash and replace?
