led dash conversion

hey guys i wanted t get my dash converted to blue led's, the quote i got given was $500... is this what i should be expecting? i dont really know of any other places that can do it in perth. if anyone knows of a good place to do it or if anyone can help me to do it that would be really awsome , i work at harvey norman in cannington so if anyone wants a new tv or computer or anything i can get really good prices so please let me know

As far as i know, the VY (2002) onwards had LED's in the dash, everything before that had globes to illuminate the dash.
So $500 wouldnt be too far off the mark, especially because most of this price would be labour, replacing globes and installing the LED's everywhere.
I had my dash (VZ) converted to blue LED's for around the 250 mark, and the price reflected the job that was done, it looks great and i couldnt be happier.
On the plus side of LED's, they're brighter, they'll outlast the car and hey, they look cool
in the end, if you're a car nut, you'll do it, price just doesnt matter =P

umm yeah one of the guys i work with his brother owns a car electrics shop i cant remember the name it was in applecross but yeah that was his cost price for doing it apparently...

haha from the pictures ive seen of the led dashes on here id pay the 500 anyday i just didn't want to get ripped
