VY Gearknob into VX (Gen3 Man)

Hey guys,

Ive been looking, but cant find any info here...

Does anyone have a guide to changing the gearknob in a VX to the VY/VZ style?

Will this work with a short shifter? And where would you recommend buying from?

heres mine

250rwkw VT II SS

you can drill out the plastic on the vy shifter knob which will leave a metal plating on the inside which fits perfectly onto the vt/x shifter

bought the knob from here
SPECIALS OCTOBER 09

for the short shifter try ebay, about $90

Thanks heaps for that, I was seriously seriously contemplating buying that exact one ($66)... although it says VY-VZ, whereas the one at jhp ($197) says VT-VZ JHP Vehicle Enhancements - Specialise in Holden Monaro and Commodore Spoilers, Body Kits, Tyre and Wheel Packages.

Are they the same shifter? I would love to save $130...

The cars got a short shifter installed (not sure what brand, but its one of the more expensive ones). Was it a hard mod to do?
