i am getting a bit of a noise from the front right of my car, thought it might have been tyres coz it sounds a bit like a groan, that is worse going over 65km/hr. it is not constant, but like a little groan every revolution or something like that. but have replaced the tyres so cant be that so unsure now?
check your wheel bearings
You might actually tell the bloke HOW he could go about checking the wheel bearing rather than leaving a vague 4 word reply.
vpcommo, I'm confused, your username is vpcommo, your ride says you have a vr berlina and youre asking a question in the VT-VX thread?
What car is this for? lol
ANYWAY,
Does the noise get worst when you turn left?
Can you feel a "grinding" through the steering wheel at all?
When you apply the brakes, do you get a 'twick' to shutter through the steering wheel?
Easy way to check a wheel bearing.
Jack up the wheel causing the issue and spin it, listen for a grinding noise.
If you can make out a grinding noise it could be a wheel bearing OR a warped rotor.
Take the wheel off and try to rotate the hub and dish with your had, once again, if you feel a grinding noise I'd say it points to a bearing and if it seems to grab smoothly, and then easy off then I would be looking at the rotor.
