Default 1.2mtr UHF CD Aerial, mounting to boot of a VT

So I've been trying to decide where I'll be mounting this UHF Aerial.. earlier on I did open a thread regarding were and didn't really get a solution out of the answer.

I did remove my regular radio antenna for awhile to and replaced it with a CB but, didn't really like it so I've put it back and I'm considering in mounting it middle of the boot closest to the window top of the boot, when boot opens it will make clearance no issue. My concern is any legal thing I should know about mounting it here cuz before I drill a hole through my boot I'd like to know :-)

Or.. anyone have a better place to mount it?

i have mine mounted in the drain lines on my vp, did the same with my friends old vx, only problem i can see with middle is obstructing the brake light, but they'd have to be fairly anal to pick on that.

na, no brake light there as i removed it and added a rear spoiler to the car (legally checked, since there is a brake light on spoiler there is no need for the in the window anymore). So if its just brake light issue should be fine. cheers

Ive installed plenty in a fairly unique fashion. Yet to hear of anyone else doing it. Not visible externally, so you dont get ugly antennae hanging off the car. Trade off is about a 30% reduction in usable TX distance. PMl me, and ill tell you how, as i usually charge for this info, and i dont want it public

Actually, to late. I sat in the garage for about 1hr or so.. moving around trying to decide where I'll put it, if do it at all and were, decided to go forward with it... and this is the result.

It turned out... ok I guess, not complaining - no going back now

(sorry only took photo's with my shitty phone camera in the dark, so quality of the images are pretty bad, and I didnt put my spoiler back on, but you get the idea. Makes great clearance when the boots open so theres no issues.

yeah maybe so, but who's to complain... you paid for a car that you now own, why not permanently modify it, it isnt like were renting these cars! plus theres always the chance of replacing the boot anyway. no huge deal most vt's get hit from the front now days anyway!
