Default Power windows from Berlina to Acclaim

    Hey Guys,

I'm needing to change the doors over from my Berlina to my Acclaim and in order to do this I will have to do the power windows in the Acclaim as they came without it, however they have the plug and wiring for the Main power window Switch. I was wondering if it would be easier to change over the BCM or to go threw and untape each wiring harness. If i need to change over the BCM what else will i need to change other then the power windows? Will i also need to change over my Instrument Cluster? Any other Advice would be great.

    Cheers

    Mumbo

You won't need to change the BCM or the instrument cluster. You will need the door looms, switches, fuse (circuit breaker) and relay. Series I have different plugs on the door looms than series 2.

So just keep undoing all the electrical tape? Will do some more tomorrow, half way there already. It really is a big bloody headache.

Are you putting the door looms from the Berlina into the Acclaim?

Yes, the Acclaim has a Low BCM where as the Berlina has a LUX BCM. So thought i may of needed to swap them over.

If you alreay have the connector for the main switch block then your BCM is ready for power windows and all you need is the door looms. I converted my VT acclaim to power windows and that's how it went with mine.
