Fuel / Fuel gauge problem

Hi guys, got a prob with my VT, the fuel gauge isnt working & its on empty.
Yesterday i had about a 1/4 tank & it was working fine. The 'distance to empty' on the trip computer also isnt working.
Went to fill up & its not taking any fuel. Could only get about $10 in.
Done some research but couldnt find anything directly related to my probs, so id appreciate any help. Cheers!

Cheapest option to try first to see about getting the fuel gauge re-calibrated.

Cost me 25buck @ Holden when i was having fuel guage issues.

From there if that doesn't help, could be a faulty sender and then you're looking at a bit more coin because if remember correctly, the Fuel Pump and Fuel Guage Sender are integrated into one unit in the vt/vx.

Could be wrong though, someone may correct me on this.

I recently had this issue with my vx series one v6 - tested the guage etc and narrowed it down to the fuel pump and assembly in the fuel tank. Replaced the pump ($186.00 from autobarn for fuel miser pump with two year warranty) and all is good again. Hope this helps.
