Hey all,
I have myself a buggered factory supercharged 98 vt calais, the time has come to get back on the road, seeing as though the 6 was never much chop I did'nt think, and 5.0 vt write offs are damn near impossible to come across at the auctions now my question is If I were to come across say a vt/x clubby gen 3 or the likes to be wrecked, could I simply gut and reinstall all the goodies back into my own car or are there underlying problems that need massive engineering like floors and things?
I would assume they are all the same just different K frames but don't know hence the post I do not have enough room for two broken ass cars in my driveway
any info would be great
cheers in advance!
Hey mate,
It can be done, but honestly its not really worth the hassle. You can get a VTII/VX these days for $10k....
So sell your current ride (either fix it and sell it complete, or sell the parts) and pickup a factory v8. Thats my opinion only. If you want to do it for the fun of it (Eg you want to do it as a project and you'll do most of the work yourself) then it might be worth it.
Cheers
No worries thank you very much, I would like to push it out the front and put a free to good home sign on it, but she still owes me too much money unfortunately
Where you located and how much you after for the VT?
