Default VX S vs VX Exec 9C1

    hey guys
lately ive been comparing my new VX Series 2 Exec 9C1 to my old VX S and for the life of me cant work out some things.
the S was a 01 and had done 186 on the clock,189 before it left me
the 9C1 is a 02 had done 111 on the clock and now has 112 on it at the moment

the new 9C1 has way better response, gear changes and the rev's go higher then the S
now i know the coppers installing chips in vt's and vx's is a myth,i assume they just gave it a good tune or bored and polished the throttle body?
im not talking about a little difference in power and response, its very noticeable.im still new to the car scene and stuff,so sorrry for asking the question

if anyone can shed light as to why the new 9C1 is so greatly different to the S it would be awsome

my only proper guess is the S was thrashed and a older engine and the 9C1 was well looked after and is a younger engine.

please before people start with the whole "its ex copper it was thrashed" stuff,it wasnt a chaser and was only used in the force for a very short time

Shift cahnges are different and have added pressure I`d imagine, I know they were on my BT1. and were confirmed by someone on here that that did have harder more serious gear changing.

maybe they are tuned? slightly more performance... wouldnt think so though.

was it owned before you but after the cops? or did you buy it from them straight away?

maybe it has a new zorst system?

what about the other car having a hole leaking pressure somewhere - friends car is sluggish as all hell but mine is also a vt and beats hers any day.

her bro reckons it's got a leak or something in the gaskets or extractors or something...

theres been one or two owners since the cops had it,its got stock everything including exhaust system.ive checked her over several times

the old car,the S had the whole shooting match, lowered springs, pacemaker extractors,2.5' exhaust sports exhaust and i think it was tuned too,i checked it over several times and there was no damage like leaking pressure to my knowledge

hence why i cant understand why the hell the new 9C1 beats it in every way

Could be the LSD diff, im not sure how much of a difference it makes, mine is a 9c1 and it has an LSD diff, it definitely handles better, and takes off quicker than my mums vt wagon, but that's a wagon, not the best to compare to.

yeah the new car handles a lot better but i put credit to many different things...lsd,tires,being a series 2,etc.

to my knowledge the diff ratio's are the same.but ill look into the idea
