I noticed on my engine the other day at the back of the alternator there is a blade clip off the alternator that dosnt appear to have anywhere to clip on to the engine is a supercharged v6 in a VT Calais.
As far as i can tell the car dosnt drive bad at all starts first time everytime I was wondering if anyone knew where it goes or what its for?
Top blade is for battery voltage sensing. Bottom blade is for the generator warning lamp. They both should be connected otherwise the alternator will be in a backup mode.
that will be the suppressor/condensor/capacitor connection. stops interference on radio etc.
