car starting problems

hey im having some problems staring up my VT some days.
this only happens occasionally maybe every 6-10th time i start my car.
i start the car normally and either it will do "one fire of the engine" and shut off - often backfiring/wooshing sound, try to crank over and die, or just do noting at all.
it usually takes 10 goes to get the car started when this happens
knowing nothing... i think it could be an ignition problem. i thought fuel pump but once the car starts it runs perfectly! any help is appreciated

Could be any number of things. I would Start with the Basics, Leads, Plugs, Fuel Filter.
Since the car runs fine when it goes, Doubt the fuel pump is the issue.
Ignition coils too could have problems with starting the car.

Had that with my VX. Replaced the key and all good now. Apparently something to do with the communication between car and key. Dunno if it's the same in the VT
