New Car advice

Hi, found a car advertised that i am interested in. Wondering if it was possible to get a few opinions on whether it is worth the price.
Ok, so its a 1999 Series 2 Acclaim, with a spoiler and a set of mags, new fuel pump and ignition barrel, auto with 247,000 kms.
advertised for $5,000, obviously id haggle with them,
just if thats alot of kms for the age, and how much longer the engine is likely to last? Id be looking at keeping it for a few years, so id want it to last.

Does it have any kind of service history?

Id take a car with high k's and full service history over a car with lower k's and no service history any day of the week.

It said that servicing is up to date and that there is records to show this, so i guess it has a service history...

Ive also come across another vt, auto, cd player, power windows, sports exhaust, new tyres, 17" chrome wheels & full service history, 199,000 Kms, also $5000
