have you checked your engine mounts?
VT 98 - Recently had the whole front end rebuilt, new springs, struts and shockies front and back but I still feel a vibration coming through the steering wheel. It feels like you are picking up every bump in the road through the steering wheel and it is uncomfortable to drive with this constant vibration.
The wheel alignment is perfect.
Any answers on possibilities? Is the steering rack a possibility or neuroprene components?
Please post any possibilities you can think of.

PS I dont want to sell her because of this i love my vt
have you checked your engine mounts?
yes they are all new so is trans
can you feel where its vibrating from.... is it from the front or the rear... you can usually tell the difference?
from the front
could be just as simple as a wheel alignment......
my brother has his done at a couple of different places.. some alignments are done dodge
Constant vibrasion that gets bigger when going faster and is there all the time could be to do with the hubs/wheel bearings/wheels or tyres.
If when braking - rotors.
Have you tried the rear tyres on the front?
White 05 V6 VZ Executive - Thrashed Ex Telstra car
and 3 Dangerous non ABS VN's
had new hubs fited same time i did every thing else running toyo tryes
have you had the actual wheel balance checked? also not just the balance but checked for spinning true (wheels not buckled) as wheels will spin up perfect weight wise but can still have been buckled. what was the reason the front end has been rebuilt?
geting old and tired frond was worn out
Is the vibration more so when braking or just driving and gets wores as speed picks up?

just driving and gets worse when speeds up but when on smooth surface everything settles down and the steering wheel does not shake. Stuffed if I know !
Rule of thumb. Vibration under 80kph - problem in the front. Vibration over 80kph problem in the rear. Did you have your rear wheels balanced at the same time?
yes i did have them done
Could be tyres, try fitting a couple of differant wheels of one of your mates cars, Borrow a couple of spares and see what happens.
if it only happens when braking, its most likely rotors.. mine has that problem, braking heavily from about 80k's.. can get machined for about $40 a pair if u take them off and take them to a mechanic..
Tyre pressure too high ?
How can any vibration from the rear transfer to the front and up the steering?
Warped brake rotors vibrate at above 80km/hr don't they? - This is not another suggestion for your problem.
Over inflated tyres would excentuate the problem at most and i'm sure he has explored different tyre pressures.
I am having a similar problem, mine is vibrating at above 80, have overhauled everything in the suspension, except changing strut top mount and bearings (which are gone). Keeping existing shocks as they are good according to pedders (good means at least 10,000 km more). I don't think there is any brake shudder at all which keeps me away from changing rotors.
These sorts of problems seem to have very specific solutions, not general solutions like wheel balances and allignments. (I've had a few myself from different places which has resulted in the problem only being dampened at the most). Changing radius rod bushes to urethene ones also helped dampen it as well. new steering rack btw.
I just hope it is not due to a slightly bent k frame or something bad like that, cbf changing that.
