    Default power window

I have a problem with my VX Calais driver side window. It is stuck down, when I try to put it up I can hear the motor running but window will not go up. Pulled the door trim off, can't see any thing broken. Is there any way I can manually get the window up.

    Default Getting window up

To get ya window up remove the elec connector located on side of window motor, grab two lengths of elec wire and a car battery. Connect an individual wire to each of the flat pins located in the elec connector on window motor. Other end of wires goes on a neg & pos batery terminal. Swap wires from neg to pos to make window go up or down. Im having the same problem. Now that the motor is ok and ive lubed the window channels with graphite powder & no luck. What bloody next?

If he can hear the motor running then there is power already getting to motor. It has most probably broken the drive cable. If so the window actuator assembly has to be replaced.

i had the same problem with my vt...i put wd40 on the parts of the upper door where the window rubs to go up to lubricate and and replaced the masterswitch...good as new after that...being the power wndow it gets used the most so that is why the switch breaks and the trim dries out

and you cant replace the switch with one of the others because the drivers window switch is completely different to the other three which is a pain in the ass lol
