VX air conditioning switch problem

Ive got a VX series 11 and have problem with the air con .
Basically with the air con light on and when the fan is any setting except the highest speed the fan will not switch on.....
but on highest speed for fan the fan works ok but the A/C switch will not switch on(ie will not light up)
the A/c compressor engages ok
Any ideas what is wrong???

Fan speed Resistor, located behind the glovebox will be the problem.

Buy them brand new from holden (currently out of stock aust. wide) or pick one up at the wreckers.

i got a fan speed resistor brand new , it was sold to me by holden for my vt series 1 berlina but its not the part i need , its still in box i bought it last year , part number is 92146293 its for a vx , if you want it pm me reasonable price

hi ive got a vx calais the problem is the air conditioner. Everything is working except its not blowing any air out whether the air conditioner is on or off any help would be appreciated

check the relays under the drivers side of the dash where the fuses are located just swapp em with you know worx like the power windows or locking
