doesn it go into 3rd at all? if not then your clutches are worn out due to poor line pressures

Disconnect all wiring harnesses from the transmission and try to drive the car. It should go into limp mode and only select 3rd gear. Try selecting reverse also, it should work. By doing this you are using only the manual shift valve, therefore removing all electronic solenoids from the diagnosis.

I don't have a pressure chart for a VS, but if you tell me what happens when you do these tests, we should be able to tell if a clutch has burnt out or a band is slipping.

Also, when you drive the car and have tech2 plugged in, what are the pulse generators showing when in each gear? Do they all work properly? Do you have access to the live data?

Guys just got another auto and put it in and still the same thing slips when changing from 2nd to 3rd whilst accelarating but if crusising its fine? Could it be that the auto I got had the same issue? Anyone know of a decent auto place in the western suburbs?

Dude I had this same problem ended up being the ECU on the car was not sending enough Currnent to the TPS. I also changed the TPS also several times and still the same. So took it to Holden and a new ECU was needed got one from the wreckers and got holden to dial the new ECU in the car and problem gone

Try lying the ECU on the passenger floor and car will not slip but still be laggy and change lazy.
