i'd go 2 and a half with a small muffler on the back, at least its a legal exhaust then

its not all about having a car as loud as it possibly can, its about giving it a good note and more power...remeber that

you don't wanna be compaired with rice burners...all show and no go...

Here comes the quote again Jester

Ok, for this you are going to need a can of baked beans and a beer.

    Preferable a big one.

Open up the can, pour the baker beans into a container for cooking, but DON'T throw out the can, was it... you will need it later.

Pop the baked beans on the stove and stir them regularly to keep then from sticking and burning.

Once they are cooked, serve them up with a beer.

    EAT UP!

Once your done, grab that tin can from before and punch a hole in the bottom of it. You will have about 10min for this part of the excersie from the time you finish eating the baked beans.

Make sure that if you feel flatulance pressure you chench and keep it in.

Once you have a decent hole in the bottom of your tin can, about an inch in diameter put the can to your bung hole and release...

thats just what i got told would be good for it.
Only engine mods i got so far is a pod filter.
    whats this back pressure?
was talking to a mate last night who put a turbo kit into a evo he said 3.5 inch would slow it down and be pointless as its an auto vt.
    maybe try a 2.5 inch.
the 350$ for the 3.5 inch is fully installed as well.
also would be fine tuned down to the slightest pitch so its still legal just under the limit
so anyone know where i could get it done in townsville or what kit to get etc?
    cheers.

maybe the guy meant 2.5 in i paid 330 for mine with no tip so you got the right price range. back pressure is a little bit of restriction which is needed for low down torque to work. without it it'd go like shit off the line but has better high end torque.

    Would have to be a 2 1/2".

Back pressure is bad. You DON"T want it at all. When back pressure is present, more fuel is used giving the feel that you have more bottom end. What you need is exhaust velocity. A good system will provide good exhaust velocity with almost zero back pressure. There isn't a bolt on exhaust that achieves that, but most people just go with a 2 1/2". They sound OK and they don't go too badly.
