VT SS LS1 wont start

just went to move dads car, so i turn the key to start, can hear the starter motor, a sometimes it almost kicks over. thats about all i can think of, its daily driven but it hasnt been for the last week as its run out of rego.

any thoughts on why its doing this?

battery could have dropped a cell perhaps. Mine did the same on that cruise to thompson dam. connect another battery and see if she'll crank over.

Some cars although they might still just crank over, need at least 10 or so volts to power the PCM so yeah Id give another battery a shot.
