    Default VXII Powerchip equivalent upgrades

    Hi ya all,

I hear there is a "Flash" program avaiable for V6 VXII Auto's from a Dr Bob? I may have the wrong person and have dropped them some emails, PM's but no response?
Has anyone upgrade their stock VXII V6 with a flash program similar to the claims made by Powerchip and what where the differences you noticed. Any leads, contacts, numbers etc to make further enquiries would be appreciated guys. Thanks for reading this far!

I got a custom tune for my VX, done on a dyno.

Now I realise (too damn late) that a VY ECU would have gone straight in, with only requiring a match with the BCM from Holden. Then its as easy as any decent Kalmaker (?) tuner.

thank you - acarmody; can you please explain what the VY ECU benefits would beetc and how the BCM interacts with it. what is the difference between VXII and VY ECU?

As far as I know the VX and the VY ECU have exactly the same data, just that the VX uses the flash module and the VY a chip. I'm pretty sure any Kalmaker tuner can tune the VY easy, and there are many Kalmaker tuners around.

The ECU and BCM have to be matched otherwise the car won't start. If they don't match the car will just stay immobilised.

I'd wait for confirmation from a tuner first though.
