I have a 2001 VX SS sedan auto, Have recently noticed a squeaky kinda noise coming what seems to be the brakes - as it is only when first starting the car and at low speed <60km. Then if i apply the brake the noise goes, have left car in idle and no noise so don't think its anything to do with motor. Also have had the car in for a service like 5000km ago, so thinking pads should be Ok. Any ideas on what it might be? Cheers!!!
have you actually physically checked the pads with your own eyes?
Yeah have looked at them and they have plenty of 'meat' still on them.... also have blown out all dust etc and still can't see anything wrong or not meant to be there...? Help i think I'm stumped. Cheers
Sounds like glazed brake pads/ rotors.

Thanks will have to check that out...
try linishing the pads and scuffing the rotors
cheers GM
Common intermittent problem with disc brakes. More prevalent with certain brands of pads. Sometimes more noticable in the morning after rain!
wheel bearing, now to find out which one.
it will slowly but surely get worse until you can't handle it..
costs <$300 to get replaced.
