    Default vt fuel lid

    anyone got any idea how to remove the fuel lid? mines peeling a fair bit and to my luck ive found another fuel lid lying around in the garage but im unsure on how to take the old one out and chuck in the one ive found?

    Open the lid and there should be 2 screws to undo.

    oh ok, that was quite easy. thanks.

    i've just realized that the whole hinge piece is missing off the one ive found. got any ideas on how to replace it? i was thinking of sanding down the excess plastic left of the snapped hinge, cutting off the hinge off the old fuel lid and gluing it to the one ive found. or will that not work?

    It should work if you use a strong enough glue. It might be easier to get one from the wreckers, hopefully in the same colour. It shouldn't cost very much.

    i headed off to the nearest dealership n picked a new one up for around $30. whats the process id go through to paint it? i heard the guy behind the counter saying something about plastic primer?

    Probably get a panel beaters to spray it cause the touch up paint may not be the same colour as your car...
