VX SS Engine / Oil Light Query.. please help :)

I have a 2002 VX SS and over the past couple of weeks the engine light will come on and then the oil light will come on a few seconds after. They will both stay on for a few seconds and then turn off. It seems to be happening every couple of days and three or four during driving.

I had changed the 'oil pressure switch' about 2 months ago as the engine light had come on and stayed on. It never came back on after the swtich was replaced.

Would this current problem have anything to do with the pressure switch??

Holden want $130 and the car for 1hour to plug it in the diagnostic machine!

Please help!

P.S The car seems to be driving fine and the oil level is normal.

Sounds like a powetrain fault. Just ask holden to check for fault codes should only cost around $55 that how much i got charged. I've also heard that temp sender can fault and cause odd things to happen. What's the plug connection like at the oil sender? Could possibly be faulty wiring.

its the oil pressure sensor im sure but doesnt explian the oil light as 90% of ls1 has the oil pressure fault my engine light used to come on when stopped or idling then would go away when i drove doesnt do any damage to your car and get it changed when you get it serviced or something

crap didnt read your whole post it could be the oil sensor again or a o2 ??

thanks.. im going to have someone check the oil pressure switch again.. heres hoping its just that
