Oil for stroked LS1

Hey guys,

Ive done a search through the forums, but just wanted to confirm which engine oil i should be using for my VX SS.

Its a LS1 stroked to 383, and is running a large cam etc, making around 330rwkw.

The car is a weekend drive, and is driven fairly hard (allowed to idle till warm, but then often reving to ~6000rpm).

What engine oil grade (like 5w40) and what brand would you recommend. I dont mind paying for royal purple, i just want to know what is best for the engine.

penrite sin 0 is good stuff,its fully synthetic and have pulled the manifold off a few m otors that have been running it for a while and theres still no carbon buildup.
mate runs it in his VE clubby and it doesnt get as hot as mobil1 oil does on the gauge.

ive heard royal purple likes to make a fool of rear main seals tho, seems to be so good that it leaks past them :P
