Hey guys,
Having just purchased a VX SS, ive decided to do a major service as im not 100% sure of the cars service history.
I was thinking of changing the following...
Engine Oil + Filter (Mainlube 175 Synthetic Race Oil SAE 10w60)
Spark Plugs (NGK Iridium)
Leads (?? Not sure)
Air Filter (K&N, so just a clean)
Transmission Fluid + Flush (Mainlube 154 SAE 75w90 Synthetic Solid Boundary E P Gear Oil + Mainlube 245 Flushing Oil)
Diff Oil + Flush (Mainlube 154 SAE 75w140 Synthetic Solid Boundary E P Gear Oil + Mainlube 245 Flushing Oil)
Fuel Filter
Brake Fluid
Power Steering Fluid
Coolant
Ive just changed the brakes and tires.
What else should i look at changing? The car is a Stroked LS1 (330rkwk) with about 140,000kms on the clock (new engine + stroke about 30,000kms ago).
Is it worth changing the O2 sensors?
Any other recommendations for the parts listed above? Basically i dont mind spending $1000 or so for this service, i just want to use quality parts to protect the car as much as possible.
Cheers, Errol.
Looks like your covering most of it,
Can't shotty o2 sensors waste heaps of fuel etc You might as well change it
Pretty much covered it there.
Can replace leads if you want, but thats a major tune.
Also no need to replace o2 sensors, if you replaced everything that could cause it to use more fuel you'd be replacing tyres, temp sensors etc!
